Rev Thomas Ross of Kincardine

Rev Thomas Ross of Kincardine (Ross and Cromarty) was one of the ministers who refused to accept episcopacy and was thrown out of his church in 1662. He may have spent some time imprisoned on the Bass Rock.

Ross was certainly locked up in Tain tollbooth, where he was noted as being 'a sickly and tender person in hazard of his life'.
