In the graveyard at Carmunnock Parish Church is a monument marking the grave of Rev Andrew Morton, minister of the parish. He was outed in 1662 but returned in 1689.

Matthew Bryce

Matthew Bryce was a resident of the parish. He was executed in Edinburgh's Grassmarket on 6 August 1685 with five other Covenanters.
