Biggar Museum

Biggar Museum is located at the east end of the town centre in a former garage. It has an excellent collection of historical artefacts associated with all periods of Upper Clydesdale history.

Within the museum is a cabinet with some Covenanter artefacts:

Copy of Robert Baillie of Jerviswood's trial document, 1685.

John Parker's Sword (he was executed in 1666)

John Steel's Sword (on loan). He fought at Bothwell Bridge but survived and died in 1709. He is buried in Lesmahagow.

Box Bed slept in by Rev Donald Cargill the night before he was captured at Covington.
