The Historic town of Strathaven has a few places within it associated with the Covenanters. The Cemetery is the burial place of three Covenanters, commemorated on two different stones. These are William Dingwall, John Barrie & William Paterson.
Strathaven Castle

Strathaven (or Avondale) Castle was erected around 1458 by Andrew Stewart, 1st Lord Avondale. During the years of the Covenant, the castle was used as a prison for Covenanters, and two Covenanters are said to have been shot here.
John Hastie Museum This local museum is located on the edge of Strathaven's popular park. The museum is open regularly.
In the museum can be seen the Avondale Covenanter's Banner, as well as other artefacts and displays.
